This is a circular walk, starting at the historic Bridgewater Monument in Ashridge, with views down Monument Drive and Princes Riding towards Ashridge House. Going downhill from the Monument we will walk in circle around Aldbury, taking in Aldbury Nowers and a section of the Ridgeway.

We will be climbing hills with wide views across the local countryside. There will be fields and woods. We will be walking on the chalk and some short sections are quite steep so if you normally use a stick, you may wish to bring it on the day.

Additional information

We will stop for a short lunch break, so bring your sandwiches and a drink.

There are toilets at the start but not en route.
