The intimate relationship between human and plant worlds has evolved over time, shaping our culture, customs, legends and folklore, and medicinal practices, etc. Through the plants we find on our walk, we will delve into some of this ‘plant lore’ to rediscover these human-plant relationships and to foster a reconnection with our natural world.

Our 5-mile walk starts out from Maidensgrove Common and leads into the Warburg NR. An ancient path then leads us up to Russell’s Water where we return over the Common. Note, there are three significant climbs (660 total ascent) and some steps. We walk at a gentle pace with plenty of discovery stops along the way. We also welcome you to share your own ‘stories in the plants’.
