Chilterns Chalk Streams Project

There are lots of ways to help your local chalk stream. Local river action groups welcome new volunteers for practical conservation, events and communications / lobbying work.

We also offer volunteer opportunities in citizen science – including riverfly (invertebrate) monitoring, water vole surveys, mapping sediment sources which pollute the river and carrying out pre and post river restoration assessments.
