Connecting to Nature through the Great Outdoors

As part of the 2018 SuStAinable StAlbans week of events, the University of Hertfordshire is hosting a panel discussion looking at the role of outdoor activities from walking and food growing to outdoor learning, and how they can contribute to improved health and happiness. The panel of speakers are University of Hertfordshire lecturers and other specialists in outdoor recreation, planning, access to the countryside and urban food systems. Each will speak for about 10 minutes, allowing time for what should be a lively discussion.

- Local food growing in urban areas - Dr Susan Parham
- Access to green spaces - Debbie Pearlman Hougie
- Improving fitness and public health - Hertfordshire County Council

This event is free of charge and open to all.
