Lots of brilliant events, tours, walks and tastings are on offer at the first Chilterns Festival of Food and Drink which starts this weekend and runs until 2 April to coincide with English Tourism Week.
The Festival celebrates local food and drink and events range from pub walks and milling demonstrations, to a campfire feast and an Iron Age Masterchef event. All the events are listed on the Visit Chilterns website and vary in price (some are free) but you do need to book!
The event is part of the Taste of the Chilterns project, for which the Chilterns Conservation Board secured Defra funding. The project has had a positive impact in bringing together partners, local food and drink producers and building the "Chilterns" brand. The team has created new brewery and vineyard tours and produced a “Taste the Chilterns" video to showcase some of the wonderful food and drink on offer in this very special area.
