Coleshill Common

This well hidden common covers an area of nearly eleven acres (5.3h) and is cared for by volunteers from Coleshill Common Management Committee and the Coleshill Parish Council. The area was historically used by villagers to graze animals and to dig for clay and gravel.

The main village pond is notable for the presence of Starfruit (Damason alisma) a native flowering marsh plant which is currently endangered.

Some further details of the common are available via the link to the Coleshill village website
