This session is the last in a three part series of Regenerative Agriculture Workshops for farmers, supported by North Wessex Downs AONB and Earth Trust. All workshops in this series are designed and delivered by Niels Corfield, England’s leading regenerative soil adviser.
This session: Soil Health for Famers (Part 2)
Building on the learnings from Niels first session on soil health, topics will include:
• Plant nutrition and plant health
• Soil nutrient balancing, amendments, and mineral applications
• Lab testing
• Building soil organic matter
• Composting systems and upcycling manure resources
• Review of your season so far via feedback
• Data gathering and monitoring review
In this full day session, Neils will bring his insightful yet practical approach to help farmers adapt to the need to act for climate and biodiversity. Backed up by the most up to date research, broken down into manageable chunks, Niels will help attendees understand the needs of plants and soil and their interactivity in a whole new light and present tools to best manage both for yields, economy and for nature.
Please note this session is the second of 2 workshops focusing on soil health. It is not necessary to attend both sessions, but participants may benefit from attending both sessions if this topic is of particular interest.
