Dadima's February Walk: #Ridgeway50 Historic Walk & Talk Guided walk
LocationPitstone Hill Car Park, Stocks Rd, Aldbury, Tring HP23 5RX.
Dadima’s is a friendly walking community that organises free guided countryside walks in the Chilterns, often with inspiring guest speakers, ambassadors, and community members. The group aims to encourage people of all cultural backgrounds and ages, to feel welcome in the countryside.
Tap into mindfulness through nature along the historic Ridgeway.
This walk celebrates 50 years since The Ridgeway National Trail officially opened in 1973. Dadima’s attended the special 50th celebration event at Coombe Hill, back in September 2023, and heard interesting historic stories of how the trail and landscape has evolved over time. We are grateful to Sarah Wright, the Ridgeway National Trail project officer, for collaborating with Dadima’s for this beautiful walk.
Sarah has planned five stops at special points of interest where we will observe the nature around us using the 5-4-3-2-1 mindfulness technique. The final stop will hopefully open-up special conversations about our unique nature connections, which cannot always be explained through the senses.
