Tourism Project Manager

‘Open for Business’ - delivering a 3 year programme in the central Chilterns

Salary: £28,000 per annum for a 30 hour week (£35,000 FTE)

Part-time 30 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract for 3 years
Closing date extended to Wednesday 10th July.  Interview date Monday 15th July

Can you lead an inspiring programme of events and activity to attract visitor footfall to the central Chilterns? Would you like to play a key role in bringing the business sector together at a time of great change and create new opportunities to promote the area?

The central Chilterns is a popular destination for visitors and local leisure, with its beautiful landscape, wealth of walks and rides, heritage attractions, strong food & drink offer and historic market towns. It is an area which will experience change and disruption from the construction of the High Speed Two railway, bringing both challenges and opportunities. This project is a fantastic opportunity to engage with the business communities and get them on board promoting the central Chilterns through a creative programme of events and festivals, new visitor itineraries, destination promotion and a communications campaign.

We are looking for someone with strong project management and communication skills from a relevant sector. You will have significant experience of partnership working with a variety of stakeholders and skilled at getting businesses on board.

You will be part of a staff team based in Chinnor but working with multiple partners across the central Chilterns project area.

If you have the skills and experience we need, we would love to hear from you.
