Are you passionate and knowledgeable about wildlife conservation?

Do you have experience of delivering successful land management projects?

Do you have great communication and customer service skills?

If so, we would like to hear from you, and for you to play a key role in a small team to create more, bigger, and better connected habitats across the Central Chilterns.

Chalk, Cherries, and Chairs is a 5-year Partnership Scheme at the heart of one of the UK’s finest and most distinctive landscapes.  It is made of up 18 projects designed to conserve and enhance the wildlife habitats and landscape features, and to inspire communities to learn, create, and act to care for their local heritage.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a wide range of conservation organisations and landowners to deliver habitat restoration and enhancement schemes at landscape scale.

Your role will be wide reaching but focus on providing a fantastic service to landowners to help them deliver. You will be working with suppliers, drawing up and inviting tenders, awarding and overseeing contracts, engaging consultants, and provision of bespoke advice and practical support.

This role is unique in its scale, breadth, and the opportunity for you to be involved in not only the design of projects but also their delivery and monitoring. You will engage with a wide range of ecologists, land managers, passionate volunteers and a network of partners.

Your proven experience in managing projects across multiple sites will be vital. We have a growing number of landowners and sites ready to go, so you will be ready, willing, and able to hit the ground running.
