£25,000 - £26,500 per annum,
Fixed Term Contract to March 2024
Closing date:  25th February 2019
Interview date – 8th or 11th March

This is a full-time post (37.5 hours per week) but we will consider requests for part time working.  We will also consider requests for flexible working and for an element of home working.

Are you passionate and knowledgeable about nature conservation and land management?   We’re looking for an Ecology and Land Management Advisor to help deliver a dynamic new, 5-year Landscape Partnership Scheme at the heart of one of the UK’s finest and most distinctive landscapes.

The Scheme has been designed to conserve and enhance the wildlife habitats and landscape features of the Central Chilterns and to inspire communities to learn, create and act to care for their local heritage.

As the Ecology and Land Management Advisor you will play a key role delivering the Scheme’s ambitions to create better, more, bigger and better-connected habitat across the Chilterns. You will be expected to work closely with landowners to offer habitat management advice, write management plans and engage with contractors to commission and deliver site specific plans. In addition, you will provide a package of specific training, events and working groups for landowners.

You will bring to the role a relevant ecological background, an understanding of habitat management techniques and a proven record in project design, contract management and delivery.

The Ecology and Land Management Advisor role is full-time (4 years and 10-month contract). You will be part of a small project team based in Chinnor. You will work across a wide range of sites and with multiple partners across the scheme area.

If you have the skills and experience we need, combined with a passion for the Chilterns landscape, its communities, and its wildlife, we would love to hear from you.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Kath Daly, Countryside Officer, on 01844 355524.

The closing date for applications is 17.00 on 25/02/2019.

Interviews will take place on 8th or 11th March

To apply please forward your CV and cover letter setting out how you meet the requirements of the role to office@chilternsaonb.org
