Volunteer Positions

We couldn't carry out the work we do without the help of our fabulous volunteer team.  If you're looking for a chance to refresh your skills, gain experience or simply do your bit to help the Chilterns, we're particularly interested in hearing from people who can help us with the following positions.  But if you have any other skills and experience you think could benefit the Chilterns, please do get in touch - we'd love to hear from you!  Just drop us a an email on communications@chilternsaonb.org telling us a bit about yourself, and letting us know how you'd like to help.

1. Volunteer Administrative Assistant

There's always plenty of things happening at the Chilterns Conservation Board.  As well as our day-to-day work in landscape and conservation, we're also home to a number of large, Lottery-funded projects, a Chilterns-wide Walking Festival and other local events.  We work with a wide range of community groups, charities and volunteer organisations across 324sq miles of Chilterns Countryside and beyond on a daily basis!  If you're looking to gain or refresh skills working in administrative capacity in a busy office environment, there's always something to do.  Whether you can offer a one-off, short-term commitment or you'd like to join our merry band of volunteers who kindly help us out regularly on days which suit them, we'd love to hear from you.

2. Chilterns Walking Festival, Administrative Assistant (with opportunity to develop)

The first Chilterns Walking Festival took place in May 2017 with a programme of 90 walks and events and great publicity.  We now wish to build on this success and continue developing the festivals (two per year in May and September).  We are looking for some volunteer help to support our Walking Festival Project Officer, for a few hours a week, ranging from administration to more challenging tasks with a chance to be creative. Even if you can only offer a couple of hours a week we would be interested to hear from you. A job description is available here.  For further details please contact aweiss@chilternsaonb.org
