The Chiltern Woodland Burial Park is the largest mature woodland burial park in the country. The park has been developed in partnership with the Forestry Commission and will be open 365 days a year for funeral and memorial services, as well as for nature lovers who simply want to visit the woodland.
Woodland Burial Sites use existing woodland and graves are spread out in circles around particular trees. The woodland sites offer families a beautiful natural environment within which to remember their loved ones. Woods are a haven for wildlife and natural plants and the management of the woodland enhances the wildlife diversity, reinforcing the concept of the cycle of life.
The Chiltern Woodland Burial Park was opened in 2009 with a service of dedication led by the Bishop of Buckingham and attended by representatives from 11 religions, denominations and secular beliefs.
The Burial Park is between Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross, just off the A40.
