A large reservoir surrounded by woodland and reedbeds. There are many interesting wetland-loving plants plus good numbers of breeding birds. Open to public along the perimeter path only.
Originally constructed to feed the nearby Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest with part of the site managed by the local Wildlife Trust. It is popular for sailing and fishing. There is a bird hide on the northern side.
The Canal & River Trust
From Aylesbury take the A413 to Wendover. Carry straight on at the bypass and turn left, opposite the Marquis of Granby pub, towards Weston Turville. Park in the lay-by after ½ mile and the Reservoir is on your right.
Walk. Open to the public along perimeter path only. Path can be very muddy when wet.
