This magnificent Yew tree featured in the 1988 survey run by the Conservation Foundation.
With the impressive girth of 5.02 metres it is estimated that the tree is 600 years old. St. Lawrence church in Nettleden was built in 1470 suggesting that the tree was planted at a similar time.
This certificate, awarded to the local community and signed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, promotes the significance of this great specimen.
