Over the years, many bodgers have worked in Highmoor producing turned chair parts for the High Wycombe chair industry.
This article from the Henley Standard documents the fact that Edward Wells was one of the last bodgers in the area.
Sidney Wells, Edward's son, was also a bodger. He was born in Highmoor in 1901 and started working in the woods with his father when he was only 12.
