Restore the iconic Whiteleaf Cross - volunteering event for 18-25 year olds

Wednesday 1 September 2021 10:00 to 15:00:

Do you know any 18 to 25 year olds who would like to get involved in this exciting event organised by The Chiltern Society?

We need help to restore, clean and paint the iconic, 100 foot Whiteleaf Cross at Whiteleaf which is carved into the chalk hillside overlooking Princes Risborough.

This is an ancient monument, managed by Chiltern Society, and the event will take place on Wednesday 1st September 10 am to 3pm.

We need help to remove weeds from the white chalk, paint the arms of the cross, so the cross can be seen again from miles around. It’s a tough job but a fantastic place to work – located on of our Chiltern Society nature reserves, with one of the best views in the area!

You don't need any special skills, just plenty of enthusiasm and we will show you the rest.
