Walk of the week - Thames Path Walks for All

Friday 15 February 2019: 10:00

Why not start half term with an energising walk? This week our "walk of the week" takes us to Goring-on-Thames on a flat 2 miles linear walk.

Thames Path Walk for All (flat 2 miles linear route)*

This walk from the picturesque village of Goring-on-Thames follows tracks through riverside fields and woodland, with views of the Chiltern Hills. Part of the walk is along the Thames Path National Trail.

From Goring follow a quiet residential road for ½ mile to the edge of the village. From there the surfacing is firm but uneven to Gatehampton Manor (there are many puddles after rain). From the Manor the path is natural but firm, though it may be muddy in places after rain. After nearly 2 miles the Trail enters woodland. Those wanting a “challenging” path can continue for mile alongside the River, before the path becomes steep and the surfacing difficult.
