Riverfly Day

Saturday 7 February 2015: 10:00

Riverfly training course at LatimerRiverfly Day is a great opportunity to learn more about life beneath the water's surface and discover the importance of riverflies as indicators of the health of our rivers.

Organised by the Chilterns, Hertfordshire and Middlesex Riverfly Hub (a partnership set up to promote and support the development of riverfly monitoring across the hub area), Riverfly day is aimed both at people already monitoring and those who are new to the science and would like to find out more.  The day will include talks by a range of experts in freshwater ecology and practical sessions after lunch, for you to try your hand at riverfly monitoring in the delightful River Chess, or to sharpen your identification skills.

The day will run from 10am till 3pm. Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear if you plan to take part in the practical sessions in the afternoon.

Cost: £7 per head. Tea/coffee and lunch are provided. You can pay online via Paypal in our shop or use the contact details below to book your place and arrange payment.

Car parking is available on site.
