villages
The Chilterns are well-known for their villages with attractive brick and flint cottages, clustered around flint churches and nestling in the rolling, wooded hills. Some of the villages have historic connections, such as Jordans with its links to the Quaker movement. Most have welcoming local pubs and are a good starting point for a walk around local footpaths. Click on the individual villages for more information about them. The Walking in the Chilterns page gives information on local walks.
