Monday 27 June 2011

The Chilterns Conservation Board has two new members.

Ray Payne has lived in Chesham close to the Chiltern AONB for 40 years. He is a member of the Chesham Society and the Chiltern Society.

For the last five years he has been the Head of Construction Strategy and Logistics for the Olympic Delivery Authority and involved with the delivery of the venues and infrastructure on the 2012 Olympic site in East London. He has worked on the design and construction of buildings and civil engineering structures in Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Iraq and Saudi Arabia, as well as the UK.

He is a member of the Chiltern Society Rights of Way Group and leads walks throughout the Chilterns AONB area; many of these are themed walks related to geology and the Chiltern landscape.

The other new member is Cllr Dave Taylor of Luton Borough Council who replaces Cllr Sheila Roden on the Board.
