In the 19th Century the Spinfield Estate covered a large area to the west of Marlow. Links to the estate can be found today in the street names as you travel along Spinfield Lane between Forty Green and the Henley Road. Over 130 Scots Pines were planted around the estate, many of which survive today.
Why they were planted no-one knows, but these special trees are magnificent specimens and highly valued by the residents of Spinfield and Terrington Hill.
If you have any information about the history of these trees, please get in touch.
