Everyone in the Chilterns is invited to register special trees and woods using the recording forms provided.

Some of these may warrant further research by our registered volunteers. Volunteers may visit the recorded wood or tree to collect more data or start researching local records.

Volunteer tasks include:

• Measuring and mapping individual trees and woods
• Photographing trees and woods
• Historical research
• Office administration and computerised records
• Giving talks on the project
• Helping with public relations
• Helping with public events
• Recording oral histories
• Leading guided walks
