the Special Trees and Woods of the Chilterns

volunteering
The Special Trees and Woods Project success depends on a committed team of registered volunteers.

Based throughout the Chilterns, volunteers are involved in recording special trees and woods and researching their local heritage.

Volunteers do this by visiting the trees and woods (with agreement from the land owner) and visiting local museums, archives, record centres, local authorities, libraries and talking directly to local people.

Full training and support is given to registered volunteers so they can assist with the project, and in return we ask volunteers to be enthusiastic and reliable!

The volunteer induction handbook tells you more about the volunteering arrangement.

If you would like to volunteer fill in this application form and return it to Liz Manley, STW Project, The Lodge, 90, Station Road, Chinnor, Oxon., OX39 4HA.
