Red kites are now widespread across the central and southern
Chilterns, and it's possible to see them almost anywhere in
the area. However, if you want to visit a specific place to
see them, try one of the following:
Watlington Hill (Oxfordshire)
The car park for the hill is 1 mile
south-east of Watlington, east of the B480.

Stokenchurch (Buckinghamshire)
The village is 7 miles west of High
Wycombe, on the A40. Close to M40 junction 5. Nearest
train station is High Wycombe, buses run frequently between
High Wycombe and Oxford.
The village is on the B4009, 5 miles
north–east of M40 junction 6. Nearest station is
Princes Risborough (4 miles). Buses run from High Wycombe
and Thame.

West Wycombe Hill (Buckinghamshire)
The hill is 2 miles west of High Wycombe,
just off the A40. Nearest stations are High Wycombe and
Saunderton (both 2 ¼ miles). Buses pass through
the village regularly.
The estate is located 4 miles north-west
of High Wycombe, and 4 ½ miles south of Princes
Risborough, off the A4010. Nearest station is Saunderton,
1 mile away, and the High Wycombe to Princes Risborough
bus route passes close by on the A4010.
The reserve is at Bix Bottom, 4 miles
north-west of Henley-on-Thames. Buses stop in Nettlebed,
1 ½ miles away. By car, from the B480 Henley to
Watlington road, turn off at Middle Assendon towards Bix
Bottom. Bear right at a small grass triangle and follow
the lane for 1 mile. The car park is at the end of the
lane on the right.
