historic environment conference back to historic environment

Every few years amateurs and experts gather together to learn about the latest projects which are researching and conserving the Chilterns’ historic environment, discuss the issues affecting local historic features and make useful new contacts. A great variety of people attend the conferences, from interested members of the public to members of local history and archaeological groups, professionals from local authorities and conservation organisations and representatives of government agencies such as English Heritage.

The most recent Chilterns historic environment Conference was held on 21st June 2008 at Buckinghamshire New University in Chalfont St Giles. The presentations given at the Conference can be downloaded below:

It is intended that the proceedings of the 2008 Conference will be published by the end of 2008. To order a copy, or for more information on the next historic environment Conference, email office@chilternsaonb.org.
